Wine Cellar:

Tenuta Torciano Winery is situated in the heart of Tuscany, 35 minutes from Florence and 20 minutes from Siena, surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and a succession of unique greenery that features towering cypress trees, long stretches of beautiful vineyards, olive groves, forests of oaks and lovely villages.

When you visit Tenuta Torciano Winery, you will totally immerse yourself in Italian culture, together with a Tuscan family consisting of 13 generations of wine producers. Here you will experience warm hospitality and additional Tuscan traditions handed down from father to son.

Area of Production:

The production area is characterised by a Mediterranean climate with rather dry summers, not particularly harsh winters and rainfall concentrated in two periods: April/May and November, with temperatures varying from -5°C to +37°C. The area benefits from good ventilation all year round and only rarely is it cloaked in fog.

Tuscany is very well suited to winegrowing.

Grapes:

Trebbiano is a name applied to a confusing group of white wine grape varieties originating in Italy. Generally the grape is a high cropper, with high bunch weight and good fertility. It is late budding which mitigates against Spring frosts, but needs plenty of sun to ripen fully, though it adapts to many growing conditions.

High acidity acts as a natural antiseptic, keeping the grapes and wines free from bacterial spoilage. It is believed that Trebbiano Toscano was introduced to France during the 14th Century, when the papal court moved from Rome to Avignon, in the southern Rhône Valley.

Torciano Collection

“GOLDVINE” by Tenuta Torciano is a wine with a beautiful dark red color that leaves room for nuances of intriguing spices that blend harmoniously with the bouquet. An intensely Tuscan wine that contains oak accents and spicy nuances like black cherries, licorice, blackberry, black pepper, leather and hints of dark chocolate that enhance its character. Sumptuousness is a core of pure fruit, surrounded by a solid structure and salty nuances Enclosed in a jewel-bottle, with a bronze silhouette that recalls the typical Tuscan art such as the David di Donatello of the City of Florence.
